James Carlsson
I was born in London and raised in a multilingual, international family, with a Swedish father and an English mother.
Living and working across the UK, Spain, and Germany has shaped both my linguistic expertise and my cultural awareness.
After moving to Spain in 1998 and later completing my studies in England, I relocated to Germany in 2001 before moving to Málaga in 2004. There, I worked as a language consultant for the Junta de Andalucía, supporting medical professionals in hospitals across the Málaga region.
In 2007, my wife and I returned to Germany, where I worked as a translation project manager for an international online news platform, coordinating and translating content in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Russian.
Since moving to Alicante in 2012, I have continued to build my freelance translation practice, combining linguistic precision with cultural insight. Alicante is now both my home and professional base.
